Septic Tank Direction as per Vastu
North-West is the best direction for a septic tank. It doesn’t matter if the house is East facing or West facing or South facing, as the direction of the house does not determine the direction & position of the septic tank. Therefore, septic tank should always be in the North-West direction of the house.
As per vastu, you should never place a septic tank in the South, South-East, North, North-East, East, or West directions of the house. Placing a septic tank in these directions will always bring health issues and financial loss.
By any chance if the septic tank is located in the wrong direction, one mustc lose it immediately and then construct a new one. Also, one should do the proper suddhi puja and hawan before installing a new septic tank.
Also avoid installing septic pipes or drain pipes or any pipes in the South direction. Make sure to divert the pipes to the East or North direction. Also, try to avoid South-West corner for the drainage pipes. Having drainage in this direction will always bring bad luck, and heavy financial loss.
It should be kept in mind that while positioning the pipes of the toilet and bathroom (for drainage), the outlet must be in the West or North-West direction. Whereas the outlet of the kitchen pipes should be in the East or North direction.
Another point to remember – there must be at least five feet distance between the wall and the septic tank. Make sure the septic tank does not directly touch the compound of the wall at any cost. Also, as per vastu rules the septic tank should be divided into three equal parts, and the water should be on East direction/side whereas excretion on the West direction/side.
For dimensions of the tank, it is very important to keep the length of the septic tank in the East-West direction whereas the breadth in the South-North direction.
Always construct the septic tank at ground level. Never construct the septic tank higher than the plinth level of the building or house.
