The dressing table should not reflect the bed in its mirror. Also, one must cover the mirror with a cloth, when not in use.

As per Vastu, East is a suitable direction for placing the dressing tables. If the dressing table is in a separate room (not in the bedroom), then the ideal location is along the North or East wall.
It must be noted that for total peace and good health of the family members, placing mirrors in the bedroom is avoided. If you can avoid having a mirror/dressing table in bedroom, it will be very fruitful.
Never keep the dressing table in the South or South-East direction. As per Vaastu, the mirror is a water element and South-East direction is a fire direction. So having a mirror in South-East direction will create unwanted obstacles in life and tensions between the family members.
Also, never keep the dressing table in the West direction. It will create dissatisfaction among the family members.
If you have attached bathroom/toilet along with bedroom, note that the toilet shouldn’t be reflected in the dressing mirror.
According to Vastu Shastra, square and rectangle shape mirrors are said to be auspicious. Never have two mirrors facing each other or adjacent to each others. Always keep two mirrors in separate rooms.
