This left inclination of the trunk of Lord Ganesha is believed to possess the qualities of the Moon or Chandra Grah. This makes such idol peaceful and blissful. As per Hinduism, Dvei Siddhi, one of the wives of Lord Ganesha resides to his right and hence the trunk curved to the right is called Siddhi Vinayaka. The right sided trunk of Lord Ganesha represents freedom from all worldly pleasures and the attainment of Moksha. Note that such idols should not be kept in home.
