Vastu experts say that the number of doors and windows at home should always be even and in multiples of two, like two, four, six and so on. According to door vastu for flats, the main door of the home should be the largest door of the home and should be placed in the North, East or North-East direction. A two-shuttered door, opening inside is considered auspicious.

The door should be in the left half when facing the house. Avoid placing the door in the right half (North-West). Placing the door in this direction will allow ample amount of sunlight throughout the day. The door should be placed in the center of the wall and the windows should be kept in the North-East
