Brahmasthan is a the most important aspect of Vastu Shastra. Brahmasthan is the central place of the house which is also the most holiest one. It is said that all directions meet at Brahmasthan, the center of the house and hence all kinds of positive energy resides in the direction . Also, sacred spirits and their blessings and energies coming from all directions meet here and hence Brahmasthan is regarded as a sacred point in Vastu.
In terms of Vastu Shastra, Brahmasthan, the centre of the house represents the navel (nabhi) of Vastu Purush. And being the major center of energy, Brahmasthan is related to health and wealth of the house or the plot.
It must be noted that ideally the Brahmasthan should be left open and free from any kind of clutter or garbage. And it can be (central part of the house) could be used as a main hall, a pooja room, a garden or simply as a courtyard.
