Dhan Lakshmi: The Hindu Goddess of Wealth & Money

Dhan Lakshmi (Dhanalakshmi) is the Hindu Goddess of wealth and money. Dhan Lakhsmi is one of the forms of Ashtalakshmi. She is the Hindu Goddess of wealth and is sometimes also known as Vaibhav Lakshmi.

In Hindusim, there are eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi known as Ashtlakshami. Dhana Lakshmi is one of the eight forms and is the supreme Goddess of material wealth and money. She is often portrayed in six-armed, in red garments, carrying chakra, shankha, Amrita kumbha kalasha, bow-arrow and a lotus in upper two hands. The lower hand is in Abhaya mudra with gold coins and jewels falling from her palm.

Please don’t get confused with Dhan Lakshmi with Dhanya Lakshmi. One of the eight forms of Ashtlakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of good harvest and grains & cereals.   1. Goddess Lakshmi’s Photo – This is the most common tip to increase wealth. As the goddess Lakshmi is responsible for wealth and prosperity and eliminating away all the financial troubles, one must keep a goddess Lakshmi photo in the wallet. Note that the Goddess Lakshmi should be in a seated position in the photograph.
